ABOUT THE GATEWAY AMBASSADORS PROGRAM
The Gateway Ambassadors Program is a community-driven initiative designed to celebrate and promote the Greater Houlton area. Our goal is to form a group of energetic community members who will actively engage in promoting our region. Initially conceived as a means to connect newcomers with the resources and information needed to fully enjoy what our area has to offer, the program has evolved into a dynamic force for positive community engagement.
Volunteer Responsibilities during the eclipse weekend
As we gear up for the Maine Eclipse Weekend, we are looking for ambassadors to be present at every event and venue, serving as guides and friendly faces to assist both our guests and residents. Here are some key responsibilities:
Guide Visitors
Assist visitors in navigating sights, events, and area attractions during the eclipse weekend.
Connect with Interest
Seek out connections with those who show interest in our area, providing them with information and insights to enhance their experience.
Communicate Positivity
Share positive messages about our community and highlight the unique features that make the Greater Houlton area special.
Welcome New Residents
Extend a warm welcome to new residents in a variety of ways, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Training Provided
No prior experience is required! We will provide comprehensive training to ensure you are well-prepared to represent our community with enthusiasm and knowledge during the Maine Eclipse Weekend.
